Uses
Crushed Concrete MDOT 825B Spec
This crushed concrete meets DOT specs for roadway usage. It’s also used as concrete foundation material, driveways, railroad sub base, and airfield base material.
#57 Washed Brown Gravel
Also known as river rock, #57 washed gravel will be brown with rounded edges – unlike limestone which will have jagged edges. The gradation for #57 washed brown gravel is the same as for #57 limestone.
#57 Limestone
Typically used for driveways, paths, drainage, back-filling retaining walls and as road base, this stone with defined edges averages .75″ or less in diameter.
#4 Limestone
This is typically used for roads, driveways and parking lots. It is 1.5″ to 2.5″ in size. It is a whitish-gray solid stone that has been crushed to size. It will have defined edges instead of being round in shape.
3" Limestone
This coarse grey/white limestone is between 2 and 3″ in diameter, and is useful in applications where a larger limestone rock is needed – drainage areas in particular.
Rip Rap 100#
Large, loose angular stones used around lakebeds, drainage ditches, culverts, etc. to promote proper drainage and erosion control.
